ABOUT

Sophia Parella is an emerging screenwriter and director with a degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. She began her career in the New England film community, finding a love for the construction department while writing offset.

Sophia has a niche interest in Japanese horror, surrealism, and animating inanimate objects. With an ongoing goal to further her understanding of psychology and human emotion while expressing the specificity in her interests, she began her professional directing career in 2023 with her short film, "The Streetlight", which is now in the festival circuit.
